I bought this for a 22' round above ground pool to swim for exercise and also for my children to enjoy the summer in the pool. I swam competitively in high school so was a little worries that it wouldn't be fast enough or enough water, but I was pleasantly surprised. I can sprint against it on high (though I can out swim it briefly), but for cardio I swim 1000-2000 yards at an endurance pace, and medium low is a good pace. I can get 2-3 workouts at this pace per charge. It arrives in two separate deliveries, so was a little concerned when the pump showed up but there was not way to power it. The battery showed up a couple days later. Also mounting it to the wall of an above ground pool just on the pool side it tends to shift a bit. I used some slit rubber hose to stabilize it at the angle I wanted.
I recently got the iGarden Swim Jet X30, and after using it a few times, I’m genuinely hooked! The speed settings range from 1 to 4, and let me tell you, level 4 is SERIOUSLY powerful! I can’t even hold it for very long yet! Pro-tip: If you have an Apple Watch, track your sessions using the 'Pool Swim' workout feature to log your stats.

Simple as that. Before the X5 we'd do 20 minutes and call it a day. Now we're out there for hours. The current just gives you something to do in the water.
